Well I haven't blogged in forever because I'm lazy and I seem to never take pictures anymore. This post will just seem like a random list of things that have happened over the past few months.
- The 9th grandbaby in my family was born. Kyle & Jessica are now the proud parents of Kobly Len Cannon. He was born on March 15, 2011 in Las Vegas. He was a very healthy and chubby baby at 8 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. He is chubby and has a full head of hair. Which his hair already resembles his dads! He is just so cute. I can't wait to see him. And the best thing of all of this they are both healthy. After the rocky pregnancy Jessica had everyone came out healthy and good. We are so grateful!!!!
- We found out this winter that Jared's dad had a brain tumor. This came as a surprise to all of us. He had surgery a few weeks ago and is doing much better. Probably the hardest thing for him was he couldn't use a computer for a few weeks and can't fly for 6 weeks. I bet he is just so stir crazy since he is always on the go. But maybe I'm wrong, but he can't correct me because he probably shouldn't be reading this anyway. Not good for the recovery:)
- Jared is still taking classes at UVU right now. He is currently taking Anatomy with a Lab and Chemistry. This is only 6 or 7 credits but basically I don't have a husband this semester. He is in the library for 12 hours at a time some days. I wouldn't believe him if he wasn't doing so good in his class. He had midterms last week and his hard work has really paid off. I'm really proud of him. And we don't have to say anymore "If you just apply yourself your would be so smart!" He really is enjoying what he is learning and doing good.
- Yesterday Jared met with Provo College and should be applying for nursing school this summer! Can't wait! It has been such a relief to know what he wants to do with his career. Hopefully all goes to plan.
- Jared has also been working this past month for a home health company. He is a CNA for CareMinders. He works between 10-15 hours a week, but this is perfect for his school schedule. It's nice too to have another paycheck.
- I am still teaching at Herriman High. As of Feb. 1st they did change me from hourly to part-time. This has been such a blessing for us. This made it so I have an additional class and a prep period. Oh prep time is such a crucial thing as a teacher. Before I was not being paid to prep. Also with part time they changed me to contract pay. The contract pay makes it so I can get insurance and benefits. I also can sub on my off days in the district. Before as hourly I couldn't.
- This winter I helped out with the boys and girls basketball teams. For the girls I helped out with score at all the home games and for the boys I filmed at the home and away games. Jared and I actually really enjoyed helping out at the boys games. It was fun going to the games and watching them get better.
