Father's Day 2011

Ashley & Brady's little Girl Gracie
She looks just like her daddy! She's adorable

On Father's day we went to my Grandma Tish's and had lunch with my mom and my amazing step dad Curtis. My mom and Curtis got married when I was in 7th grade and he has always been  so amazing  to my mom and family. I really do love Curtis and am glad to call him part of our family. I can give him hugs now with out being uncomfortable.
After my grandma's house we went over to the Blackwell's to celebrate with the rest of my family and my Dad. I'm really grateful for my Dad and all the help and support he has been recently. I forgot to get a picture with him before he left:(

Memorial Weekend

We had such an eventful and fun Holiday weekend. We were lucky we were here and Jared's parents were here as well. The weekend before we celebrated Jason's birthday at Pizza Factory and then had cake and ice cream at their house afterwards. I did learn this weekend that the Petersen's are genius when it comes to strawberry shortcake. They blend the strawberries up with a little bit of sugar and makes a wonderful sauce! It was amazing and I am now converted.

Jackie is always so creative! Whenever she gets alone with Stockton or one of the Dogs she always takes the best pictures.

Friday before Memorial Day Carter, Drew, Landon and Rylee had a sleepover at our house. We had a fire pit and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows despite the rainy weather. We took all four kids to the grocery store to get our need food. Bravo to parents or even just one parent who can go grocery shopping with kids. Me and Jared cold barely do it.

Rylee found the pantry and learned early on that she could reach the food very easily. Any food we did have was spilled all over the floor. It just made it easier for her to eat. Ha ha She also refused to eat any normal food and ate probably 8 cookies and rain gutter water.

Drew was very admit about wanting to sleep in our bed. We kept telling him to sleep on the couch with Carter and Drew. So Drew and Carter slept on the floor in our bedroom. Landon woke up in the middle of the night screaming so he got in our bed. You would think the smallest boy would take up the least amount of room. Well he spread out and kept snoring all night! When I got up to go running in the morning I got back and found all 3 boys with Jared and Chubs in bed.

The next morning my Dad & Marlene, Jonathan & Katie & Kids, and Jamie came over to have a birthday breakfast. We celebrated my Dad's 55th birthday and my 22nd. Carter and Sarah put on a dancing and singing performance to celebrate our birthdays.

On Memorial Day Scott & Jackie, Grandma & Grandpa Petersen, Jason, Kerstin & Stockton came down and we went to lunch at Zupas then had a giant cookie with frosting and ice cream. The cookie was  but the Petersen's were a little scared of the amount of frosting besides Jackie. I believe Jackie ate the leftover frosting of others.

Memorial Day night my Mom & Curtis and the Blackwell's came over and we BBQ. Jamie was in charge of bringing corn and clearly she is allegoric to something in the corn.

Easter 2011

Easter morning I woke up and Jared kept saying "The Easter Bunny came." I thought he was just teasing but when I got out of bed he had set up and Easter egg hunt. There was a letter in each egg. You would have been surprised to see how long it took me to figure it out that it said NEW SHOES.

Every year my Grandma Tish and Grandpa Joe have a big Easter dinner and a hunt for the kids. It was great weather and crazy. The family has gotten so big and I love it!

We also celebrated all the April Birthdays. Nate turned 28, Curtis turned 46 and Jac turned 26!

Christmas & New Years 2010

On Thursday, December 23 we had family pictures at my Dad's house and then all my siblings slept at his house for Christmas. We talked, played games, and woke up Christmas Eve Morning and opened presents. We had an amazing breakfast with egg nog pancakes. Yum Yum. Everything went well besides the babies didn't want to sleep and the kids woke up early. But it was fun and I'm glad everyone was able to be together.
As siblings every year for Christmas we draw names and do a game exchange. This year we had Jonathan and Katie and game then Jungle Speed. No one in my family had ever played.
Rylee letting me hold her. She is really picking about letting people hold her so I had to get a picture when she finally let me!

Santa comes every year to my Grandma Tish and Grandpa Joe's house every Christmas eve.

Kyle with his splints and cute prego Jessica.

My grandparent's gave us a can consolidator for food storage. We already have it set up and using it!

We woke up Christmas morning at my Mom's house with my Mom, Curtis, Jacquelyn, Jordan and Nate. No one would get out of bed till after nine.

Jessica and Kyle came over pretty early so we could see them before we left.

Jared's Dad and Stockton. He receives as the attention now in the family. As soon as someone sets him down someone else is picking him up. His cute little personality is really starting to show.

We spent Christmas afternoon and night with Jared's family. We ate lots of junk, dinner, played games, and laughed a lot. We have Scott and Jackie a game called Truth be Told. We played it later that night and had lots of fun!

Rylee

Jared was impressed with what the wind did to my hair. I didn't find it as funny.

Chubs sleeping

New Years Eve we went bowling. Landon always looking so cool!

Jared and Landon shared a cookie shake. Jared would take a bite then Landon would. Landon wouldn't have more until Jared did. It was so cute.

We met my Dad and everyone at Chic-fil-a.

New Years at Jamie's. I wasn't very good at getting pictures but we had a good time playing a murder mystery game and then the girls did some crafts while the boys played basketball on the wii. This was the first new years in a long time that I had worn sweats all night but I really liked it. It was Great!

Recap: New Years Day 2009 is the day Jared and I decided we were getting married. We were engaged 26 days later and married a few months after. We have been married now just over a year and eight months.
