We had such an eventful and fun Holiday weekend. We were lucky we were here and Jared's parents were here as well. The weekend before we celebrated Jason's birthday at Pizza Factory and then had cake and ice cream at their house afterwards. I did learn this weekend that the Petersen's are genius when it comes to strawberry shortcake. They blend the strawberries up with a little bit of sugar and makes a wonderful sauce! It was amazing and I am now converted.
Jackie is always so creative! Whenever she gets alone with Stockton or one of the Dogs she always takes the best pictures.
Friday before Memorial Day Carter, Drew, Landon and Rylee had a sleepover at our house. We had a fire pit and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows despite the rainy weather. We took all four kids to the grocery store to get our need food. Bravo to parents or even just one parent who can go grocery shopping with kids. Me and Jared cold barely do it.
Rylee found the pantry and learned early on that she could reach the food very easily. Any food we did have was spilled all over the floor. It just made it easier for her to eat. Ha ha She also refused to eat any normal food and ate probably 8 cookies and rain gutter water.
Drew was very admit about wanting to sleep in our bed. We kept telling him to sleep on the couch with Carter and Drew. So Drew and Carter slept on the floor in our bedroom. Landon woke up in the middle of the night screaming so he got in our bed. You would think the smallest boy would take up the least amount of room. Well he spread out and kept snoring all night! When I got up to go running in the morning I got back and found all 3 boys with Jared and Chubs in bed.
The next morning my Dad & Marlene, Jonathan & Katie & Kids, and Jamie came over to have a birthday breakfast. We celebrated my Dad's 55th birthday and my 22nd. Carter and Sarah put on a dancing and singing performance to celebrate our birthdays.
On Memorial Day Scott & Jackie, Grandma & Grandpa Petersen, Jason, Kerstin & Stockton came down and we went to lunch at Zupas then had a giant cookie with frosting and ice cream. The cookie was but the Petersen's were a little scared of the amount of frosting besides Jackie. I believe Jackie ate the leftover frosting of others.
Memorial Day night my Mom & Curtis and the Blackwell's came over and we BBQ. Jamie was in charge of bringing corn and clearly she is allegoric to something in the corn.
